TANNAY VILLAGE
Looking up the Rue Ste. Agathe in the direction of the Gendarmerie and Super U supermarket (above) and looking down the Rue Georges Sirdey (named after the artist and mayor whose mother lived in the Café de Tannay before it was sold to the previous owner) in the direction of the church. The east side of Place Charles Chaigneau, named after the mayor who connected the village tot the water supply system in 1932 (above) (for its celebration and fountain see Historical imagery) and more to the south, with the town hall on the right hand side. (below).
Every drive down the Tannay slopes towards the village coming from the Moulin du Merle we have this splendid panorama over the vineyards, Tannay being backdropped by Morvan hills with their enchanting light and weather conditions.

IMMEDIACY
Tannay village
The ancient bourg of Tannay village is elevated from its surrounding landscape, its fields, some woods and vineyards. In the center you will find a fine bakery, butcher, bookstore and maison de presse, two wine producers’ boutiques, a bazar, some cafés of which one with a terrace and tabac, a pharmacy, two hair dressers, two shoe shops, a bank, post office, the SNCF bus stop connecting the Clamecy train station and at one edge of the village a Super U supermarket with gas station and ATM. Church and town hall, of course, dominate from two small plazas.
