CAFÉ DE TANNAY STUDIO
STUDIO VISIT

When we start digging to connect the house to the sewerage system soon we need machine muscle.

With the sewerage connection the muddy grass was changed for gravel and the original entrance gate in the back was freed from its abundant Wisteria.

EXTERIOR SPACES
RdC / garden
The main entry to the ancient bar was located on Tannays main street: Rue Ste Agathe. A small ironwork gate leads into what over time has become a wildly overgrown garden.
The garden completely closed off the house from the main street. Restoring the old access is a prime concern. The garden contains a stone well with a sources water surface (or underground stream) at 12 meters (40ft.) deep; a roof leaning to a small tower staircase, a shelter of sorts, probably an ancient greenhouse and workshop; a stone staircase leading down to the wine cellar.
The previous owners plantation provides some blooming every month since early March, when spring sparks off for the Malus x floribunda, or Japanese flowering crabapple, followed by Budleja, Wisteria, Lonicera (deep smelling honeysuckle) and Clematis.
